Strategic Plan

Creating Aledo's Future

The City of Aledo's Economic Development Corporation has embarked on a process to develop a Strategic Plan for the City of Aledo. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to develop plans, programs and activities to guide the future development for the City of Aledo. The Strategic Plan is intended to reinforce Aledo's sense of community, preserve historic character, leverage education excellence, create a higher quality of life, attract and retain quality development and optimize the use of limited land and resources. Key items to be analyzed during the study include land uses, downtown developments, transportation, pedestrian connections, economic development, community identity, historical elements, aesthetics and community vision. An important component of this study will be to engage local organizations, businesses, residents, and major stakeholders to identify current issues and future opportunities.
