Strong neighborhoods are critical to the success of the City. The City has many great neighborhoods, but care must be taken to preserve them and ensure that new neighborhoods are sustainable, welcoming, and healthy. Opportunities should be pursued to take our new subdivisions to the "next level" by identifying design and amenities that make Burleson a community of choice. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with community partners who share this vision and have the ability to assist in its achievement.

- At the the present rate of population growth, the "small town" identity that is so unique to Burleson will be destroyed. City fathers are always for economic growth any cost. The negative externalities of endless economic and population growth are well documented in other Texas mid-sized cities. Perhaps this mindset should be re-examined. Otherwise in ten years Burleson will just be another mis-planned example of urban sprawl gone wrong. How about a "Slow-growth" or even a "No Growth philosophy" for the next 10 years? Think about it.
